Hardening line for bow saw blades

hardening.gif

The Induction hardening machine consists of a feeder unit that feed the saw blade through the machine. The teeth of the blade are heated when moves through an inductor mounted above the feeder unit.

The inductor is placed on the tank circuit box which is fed from a 10 kW generator mounted on the machine. Directly after the inductor, a stream of air shills the teeth.

The feeding table has four pair of wheels, two pairs before the inductor and two pairs after the inductor. The wheels are mounted in sturdy bearing houses. One side of the wheel line is driven. The wheels are placed in a one degree down angle, which ensures a downward pressure on the blade,
and secures the blade in the right level.

The speed of the blade is controlled by a frequency converter,
which enables an accurate control of the blade motion through the inductor.

Normal hardening result of bow saw blades 55 – 60 Hrc.
